Monarch Butterfly Nail Art

Hi again :) I have just created my most favourite nail art design.  A Monarch Butterfly.  This is the first time I have even tried this design out, so for a first attempt I am very pleased.  I've seen quite a few butterflies around this year so I thought this would be a perfect summer design.

This design was however quite difficult to create and I would suggest maybe this isn't a good design for beginners to nail art.  I was going to create this design with just a plain orange background, however at last minute I thought I would do an ombre effect.  I am so pleased I chose to do this as I think it looks much better.  Let me know what you think in the comments below :)

Summer Flowers Pedicure

I am back posting again and will probably be at the weekend too with a new manicure design.  Too many summer designs to fit in & only 1 week left of the summer holidays for me, then I am back to work :( But that means I will be having a back to school nail art design and tutorial, so check back here for that :)

My last pedicure lasted 3 weeks, so here is my new pedicure (which hopefully will last another 3 weeks!)

Pastel Zebra Nail Art

This weekend has been a rather exciting and special one, I GOT ENGAGED! I Had a lovely time doing various things around Norfolk with my new fiance.  I will have a busy year ahead planning for the wedding that's for sure!  But I am sure I will still have plenty of time for creating my nail designs and blogging about them.
Here is a picture of my gorgeous engagement ring
So here is another of my summer nail art designs.  Summer is nearly over, so this may be one of my last summer nail art designs :(  Summer comes and goes so quick, well it does in England anyway.  This week I have decided to go for a pastel zebra print.  As with all my nail art, this is all freehand.  Please let me know what you think of my design by commenting below :)

Here is my design
All you need to create this design is:
Pale Pink Nail Polish
Silver Nail Striper
Silver Glitter

Tutorial

I hope you find my tutorial useful and easy to follow.  This design is much easier to create than the picture looks.  I loved creating this design!  Please let me know what you think.

French Lace Nail Art

Hi again, it's been a week since I last posted as my previous design lasted all week!  I am going away this weekend with my boyfriend for a surprise, so I decided I needed nice nails as I didn't know what we would be doing or where we would be going.  I decided to go for an elegant design of lace on a half french manicure :)

Here is what my design looks like:
This is one of the most difficult designs I have done since starting nail art.  It took a lot of patience and a steady hand (which luckily my hands stayed steady for this.)  If you are a nail art beginner, this may be tricky.

Summer Ikat Nail Art

So here is my next summer nail art design.  I don't usually like bright nails, however seeing as it's summer I thought why not?!  The ikat design I think is too much to do on all nails, so I did some simple dots on the other nails using the colours in the ikat design.

Here is my design:

I decided to do another nail art tutorial for this design, I have created a clip art type of tutorial.  Let me know whether you prefer this or my previous tutorials.

Ombre Tropical Sunset Nail Art

So here is my next summer nail art design.  I wanted to do another ombre design as I had so many compliments on my last one.  I thought I would make the ombre into a sunset backdrop.  I added some birds and palm trees to create this lovely summer design.

Pink Leopard Print Nail Art

As I said in my previous post, I am planning to do lots of summer designs over the next few weeks.  Here is my next summer design, pink leopard print, which I have done on my toes.  These would also look perfect on the finger nails too, or even as just an accent nail.
I think a leopard print design is so easy to do.  It doesn't take very much time at all and you can use any colours!
To create the pink leopard print design you will need:
Bright Pink Nail Polish
Pale Pink Nail Polish
Black Nail Polish
Dotting Tool

Step by Step:
1. Paint your nails with two coats of your darker/brighter pink.
2. When thoroughly dry, use your largest dotting tool dipped in pale pink polish, to create random dots all over the nail. (Leave gaps though so you can create some black dots later on)
3. When that is dry, take a medium/small dotting tool dipped in black nail polish and draw semi circles around the edge of your dots. (You are just outlining the dots, but not all the way round) You can do other dots of black in the other gaps as in my picture.
4. Add your favourite top coat to your design to add a gloss.

This is what my final design looks like.  I hope you like it.  Please let me know what you think.  Like I say, you can use pretty much any colour for leopard print, I just chose pink as it was summery :)
