Watermelon Nail Art

Hey,

This weeks design is a watermelon inspired nail art design, but using a pink and mint green instead of the colours that a watermelon actually is, but I absolutely love it and really think that the colours work well.  The photo however doesn't exactly do the colours justice though, as the mint green looks blue :( sad times!! This design is just so summery and gets me really excited for summer!! I think we're due to be getting some warm weather in the UK this week, fingers crossed!!  I hope you like this design.

Doughnut Nail Art

It's National Doughnut Week!! Who doesn't love a doughnut? What's your favourite type of doughnut? Mine has probably got to me a yummy strawberry jam one covered in sugar, then trying to eat it without licking your lips - I am such a child!!  But I am sure that I am not alone. I have tried doing this design before, and unfortunately it just didn't go right, but this time I am SO pleased with how these went.  It's strange because whenever I am really pleased with a design, they seem to get the least likes on social media. Why is that?!  I hope you love these as much as I do, and please go and show them some love on Instgram.

Happy Clouds Nail Art

Hey,

It's Spring here in the UK, however the weather is not exactly reflecting that.  We're hardly having any rain, but it's so cold, I am still in jumpers!! I thought this design was perfect, and it sums up the weather we're having, lots of cloud, but it's important to try and stay happy and positive that summer is on it's way :) I am praying for a hot summer this year.  I hope you like this design.

Pink Tie-Dye Nail Art

Hey,

I have wanted to do a tie-dye nail art design in a long time, but have really struggled to master it.  Although I don't think this is perfect, I am actually really pleased with it.  This design was inspired by @nailstorming she creates such pretty designs.  So check her out, and you'll find a tutorial there too for this design.  This can be created with any colours, I think next time I will try a rainbow coloured design.

Abstract Nail Art

Hey,

This week I have created an abstract design (wasn't sure what else to call it) it's triangles and polka dots and I really love it. This could be created with any colour too, and could be fine for all year round too. I hope you like it. I have started taking a different angle of my nails which I use for Instagram, so let me know what you think.  Also if you don't follow me on Instagram, then you definitely should, it's @naildeesignz

Paisley Nail Art

Hey,

This is by far one of my favourite nail designs, and one I am most proud of, as I personally think they look really good.  A nail artist who I love is Alice @onenailtorulethemall she does the most amazing nail art, and she is who inspired me for this design.  She blogged about using a certain gel pen to create designs, so of course I had to give it a try.  Now I must say that I think using this pen literally is going to change my nail life!! It's so easy to draw with (until you get to the other hand - then I realised it's easier to hold a paint brush!) Please check Alice out.

Earth Day Nail Art

Hey,

Saturday 22nd April was Earth Day.  This is a day where we take time to think about and appreciate the earth/world we live on, and take time to consider how we can protect the planet.  I tried to use less electricity on this day, turning off lights etc.  I decided I wanted to do the earth nails, but didn't really know how they'd look.  So I got my husband to draw me out and plan my design for me.  He is much better at art than I am, and he often is behind the creativity of a lot of my nails, although he does always refuse to paint my nails, even if I am struggling! I will keep working on the persuasion!!

I hope you like these nails.
