Glittery Chevron Nail Art

This week I have created a silver glittery chevron design.  I have been really into my glittery nail polish recently (although regret it every time I go to take it off!)  I very rarely use glitter with nail art designs, however I think this matches really nicely.  The photo in fact doesn't actually do it justice, it looks almost like transfers in person, and is so sparkly!!

I hope you like the design.  Don't forget to leave me a comment below, and show me your recreations on my social media or #naildeesignz

Musical Notes Nail Art

I am back! It's been a while. I took a few weeks off of nail art (to be honest I was lacking inspiration and motivation to do them.) I'd tried a few designs and things just weren't working out, so I took a break.

This is actually a design I did back in the second week of January, I had just forgotten to blog it. I will be doing a post straight after this with this weeks design.

I absolutely loved this design, and was so pleased with how it turned out.  My mum has being going on at me for a while to do a musical note design, and I finally got round to doing them.  What do you think?

Black & White Dotticure

Happy New Year!!

I can't believe it's 2017 already. How quick did 2016 go? I hope 2016 was a good year for you, despite all the deaths and world crisis.  I would say it was a pretty good year in general for my husband and I. We're hoping that 2017 will be even better though.

Before I update you on my first new manicure of 2017, I thought I would share with you a collage of some of my nail art of 2016. I do think my nail art is definitely improving over the years i've been doing it. Let me know which design is your favourite. Mine has to be my halloween nails, I am absolutely in love with them!!
Don't forget to follow me on my social media, if you don't already. See my contact me page for more info.

I am hoping again to come up with some new designs I've never done before, but I can't resist always doing my trusty designs like polka dots, roses, flowers and leopard print. So you're bound to see them again this year. Please let me know if there are any designs in particular you'd like to see this year.

So my first design of 2017 is one of my trusty designs, polka dots! But I haven't done it like this before.  I love dark coloured designs for this time of year, especially for New Year. This is a design that can be varied to any colour combinations, and would be great with pastel colours for the summer, but I think the black and white really compliment this design.  I hope you like it.

Snowman Nail Art

This week I've created a winter scene with a snowman. I thought this would be really cute, and simple to do, seeing as I didn't have much time today.  Only a week until Christmas now, and I must say that I am getting very excited!!  I hope you are too.  Hopefully i'll manage to get another 1/2 designs in before Christmas, so please make sure you check my blog this week.
Unfortunately, the camera has flashed the blue background out of this design, so the photos don't really do it justice, so sorry about that.

Turquoise Snowflake Nail Art

Unfortunately, I've been quite unwell this week so didn't actually get an opportunity to paint any designs on my nails, so I just painted them a basic red colour with a bit of glitter (which I forgot to take a photo of.) By midweek, the kids at school were asking me why I hadn't got any Christmas nails, so I decided that I had to do something, so decided to go for a basic design of a snowflake, which is so easy, but I love.  I went for a turquoise colour as opposed to a traditional Christmas colour, but I think these still look quite festive.  I hope you like them.

Knitted Nail Art

Hey & Happy December!

This is my favourite month on the year (apart from the cold weather.)  I love Christmas, and it's a great time of year to do some great nail designs.  I am still trying to think of designs I haven't done in the past, so if you can come up with any ideas then please let me know.  This is a design I haven't tried before, as I usually don't like using matte top coat, as it doesn't dry well (unlike my seche vite top coat - which I don't use for this design.)  I painted 2 coats of an off white base (Barry M-coconut) then added a matte top coat.  I then went back in with the same white base, and used a fine brush to paint on some knitted pattern. This needs to be repeated 2 or 3 times, to get the bumpy 3d texture. I then left the design to dry, and that's it.  No top coat is needed.  Pretty easy eh?

Moroccan Nail Art

I saw this design on Pinterest, and thought how complicated it looked.  Then when I looked more closely, I realised how easy the design would be, as it's just lines!  I think this design would look great with any colours, pastels for summer, or bright colours.  I chose to use a classic black and gold as thought this was better for winter.  I hope you like this design, and decide to try it out.
