Strawberry Nail Art

So I am back from my holiday to Spain.  I didn't paint my fingers before I went, so as you can imagine I am getting withdrawal symptoms from not painting. I wasn't going to paint them this week, but I couldn't resist. My nails were so beautiful, long and white from the sun, but within a day of being home, two of them broke :(  So unfortunately this manicure isn't great due to my nails being very short.

Here is my Strawberry Manicure.  I thought this was great for summer.  I have lots more summer designs coming up in the next few weeks, so make sure you check back here regularly to see them.

Daisy Nail Art

I am off on holiday to Spain tomorrow so had to get one final blog in before I go.  Here is my daisy pedicure design, I think this design is perfect for summer.  I usually go for a coral design for holiday, but I thought this year I would do something different.
All you need to create this really cute design is:
Blue Nail Polish
White Nail Polish
Yellow Nail Polish
Dotting Tool

This whole design is created using only a dotting tool, it's a super easy design and perfect for beginners.

I hope you like my design, let me know what you think by commenting below.

Summer Flower Nail Art

Hi :)  This is my second post of the week.  I decided to go for a nice summery design seeing as next week is the first week of the 6 week summer holidays.  I break up from work on Friday :)

I hope you like this really pretty summery, pink design.  It is so easy to create.  All you need is a large dotting tool and 3 colours of your choice :)

Here is my pictorial :)

Aztec Nail Art

This weeks nail art was inspired by an outfit I was wearing for a night out.  You could create this design using any colours, but I chose beige and black to match my dress.
Here is a close up of the pattern on my dress, where I got my inspiration from.

Starfish Nails!

I really wasn't sure which design I wanted to do this week.  I wanted to do a summery design, seeing as the weather is actually boiling in England for once.  So I decided to go for a beach themed design, Starfish!  I must say, this was a very tricky design to create, as each starfish ended up looking different, but I suppose starfish don't all look the same anyway!
For this design you will need
Light blue nail polish
Glitter nail polish
Coral/peach nail polish
White nail polish or nail art pen
Dotting tools (large and small)

I created another step by step pictorial for this design, so I hope you like it & let me know what you think :)

Here are some more pictures of the finished design . . .
I hope you like my summery design, I think this looks so cool and it is just perfect for summer. :)

Feather Pedicure

This is my first post of a pedicure as I don't really like taking photos of my feet, however I was really pleased with my most recent design so I had to post about it.

Here is my Summer Feather Pedicure. . .
This is a really quick and easy design to create.  You don't need any particular tools for this design, just your basic nail polish and black, white and silver nail stripers.  (You can add some glitter too if you want to make your design shiny.)

Step by Step
1. Paint your nail with your base colour (I chose a light pink)
2. Use your silver nail striper to paint a thin silver line from one corner of your nail to another corner.
3. Take your white and black nail stripers to create small strokes starting from the bottom of your silver line.  Make these strokes thinner as they get nearer to the top of your silver line.
4. Repaint the silver line and add some silver glitter along the line to create a nice shiny, summery look.
5. Apply your favourite top coat to seal in your design and to add a gloss.

Blue with Glitter Accent Nail

I am a bit late posting about my most recent design as I have been away with work.  I had the delight of going to PGL in Weymouth with my year 9's.  The weather was even good to us.

Anyway, onto my design.  As I said I've been in PGL so I didn't really have time to do a full design, so I went with a glitter accent nail.  The nail polish I used was Barry M.

TIP - A great tip for applying glitter so that it removes easily, is to paint your nail with PVA glue, wait until it dries(this acts as your base coat), then apply the glitter & top coat as normal.
