Shabby Chic Lace Nail Art

Hey,

I am back from holiday now, and so will be getting back to my normal posting, hopefully twice a week.  Painting my nails is tricky when I am off work.  I am back to work in 2 weeks so the nails will resume as usual then.  This week I have created a design i've been wanting to do for a while.  Unfortunately, the camera has flashed the colour out, so the pink and blue haven't shown up too well.  I hope you like the design.

Herringbone Nail Art

Hey,

Here is last weeks nail art design.  I saw Amy Tran on Instagram do this design, and it looked amazing, so of course I had to try it.  I have wanted to create a herringbone design for a long time, but never really thought I would be able to, but was pleasantly surprised with how it turned out.  I love it!! I had so many compliments too on this design, with people asking about the stencil!! There was no stencil - it was all totally freehand.  I will definitely be recreating this design again in the future, but with different colours.  Let me know if you recreate this design in the same colours or different.

Starfish Nail Art

Hey,

Today I have decided to recreate one of my old designs.  I remember when created this design first time round I fell in love with it and was so pleased with it, so I thought why not recreate it.  I must say after comparing it with my first design, there isn't really much change or improvement, which is slightly disappointing.  I will share a photo here of a then and now for you to see.  It hasn't shown up much in the photo, but I love the glitter I used on top of the blue, it really glistens in the sun, and is like the shine on the sea.

Here is another summer design which I love!!  I always love a floral/rose design as they're so easy to create and versatile.  I thought the pink and yellow looked really nice together.  I am struggling with thinking of designs to do next, so please leave comments below of what you'd like to see me create next.

Despicable Me 3 Nail Art

Hey,

So last week I went to see the new Despicable Me film, and I couldn't resist doing the nails.  I am so so pleased with how these turned out, and I had so much love both on Instagram and in public.  People asking me in the shops about them, which was so sweet.  This design did take some hours to do, but it was worth it!!  The only issue I have, is that every time I use yellow nail polish, it stains my nails!!  I am sure when I am on holiday, the sun will bleach them. I hope you love these as much as me!!

Birthday Nail Art

Happy Birthday to me!! (Well it was my birthday on the 28th June)

I thought I'd create this gorgeously cute birthday cake as an accent nail.  I love it!!  Unfortunately I was really quite unwell on my birthday this year, so I didn't particularly enjoy it, but never mind.  I am now 26!! Where is the time going, it's madness!!  Every year seems to be slipping by so quickly.  I remember always being told as a little girlby my mum that birthday's aren't so exciting when you get older, but I refused to believe it and always said no, they'll always be exciting!  Well, as usual, my mum was right.  Birthday's just aren't the same anymore :( Less presents, less cards, and just the fear of getting older and not having done things!!  I am sure there are many people out there that do still enjoy their birthdays!  Let me know if that's you!

Cactus Nail Art

Hey,

I've wanted to do cactus nail art in ages, but have never really had the confidence to do it, as all the designs look so complicated.  Then I came across this design by Peachypolish and I loved it and thought I would give it a go.  I am really pleased with how it turned out, and love the colour I chose to use too, which is like a olive green colour.  Let me know your thoughts.

Tropical Flicks Nail Art

Hey,

As usual, I am a bit behind with my blogging so this design was done back on the 19th June, but hey ho.  I saw this design by @jennyclairefox and I had to recreate it.  I thought it looked so simple, yet effective and perfect for summer as the colours used are really tropical.  All I used for this design was a thin striping brush, and a variety of summer colour nail polishes.  This could totally be changed up with any colours at all - so let me know if you recreate this with any different colour combo's.

Father's Day Nail Art

Hey,

It's Father's Day today here in the UK.  I was unlucky and lost my Dad when I was 8, which was devastating at the time, and I still remember it like it was yesterday.  There isn't a day when I don't think about him, especially when things happen in my life that I would want him to see and be proud of, like when I got married.  I do however, have the best Step-Dad who really looks after me, and treats me like I am his own, which I am so so grateful for.

So I created this manicure in memory of my Dad and in celebration of my amazing Step-Dad.  What a better design to do than ties, which most men wear to work (beside's my hubby who is lucky enough to wear what he likes to work!)

I only painted this design on one of my hands, which is very unusual for me, because I wasn't too pleased with how it turned out, so I didn't see the point on doing it on the other hand too.  Let me know your thoughts.

I hope you spoiled your Dad or Step-Dad too!!

Scalloped French Manicure

So it's that time again when I bring you another amazing collab.  This time I teamed up with @paintedbybrooklyn, who is an amazing nail artist, and like me, does it as a hobby, not as a job.  I knew when I found Brooklyn on Instagram that I would definitely want to collab with her, as I think her style of painting is similar to mine.  We both came across this design by a lady on YouTube whose channel I will link here https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjUDefAB0n55AQwk5UtQIlg  We're both a fan of hers as her nail art is amazing.  Go and check them both out.

I love how perfect this design is for summer, and it's really elegant, and subtle, and would be perfect for a summer wedding.  This is a really nice and interesting take on a basic French Manicure design, and I suppose it could be done with other flowers, or different colour roses too.

Tropical Nail Art

Hello there!

Thanks for stopping by to check out my new post.  Here is this weeks design of a tropical inspired design of palm leaves and flowers.  I have wanted to do a design like this for a while, but was waiting for the weather to get warmer as this is a real summer design.  It's finally warming up in the UK (or as much as the UK does - it was 25 degrees today, which was bliss - but not so much to work in.) 

I used a pale baby blue base for this design, unfortunately, as always, the camera doesn't show up pastel colours too much.  But you can imagine what it's meant to look like.

Arrowhead Nail Art

Hey,

Here is last weeks design which I have called 'arrowhead' as I wasn't really sure what else to call it.  I asked my amazing mum, (who always has the right answer) and she said arrowhead, and sent me a picture of a pattern which is virtually the same.  So thanks mum, as always :)

This design was inspired by @25sweetpeas, who created the design in the same colours (But I think used neon green instead of yellow.)  I love this design, it looks so complicated, however it wasn't too tricky to create.  I've actually started creating GIF tutorials for my designs, however I am unable to post them on my blog for some reason, so please go and check them out on my Instagram @naildeesignz and let me know what you think of them.

Blue Rose Nail Art & Collab

Hey,

I bring you yet another collab!! This one was with the amazingly talented Sarah @25sweetpeas.  Her nail art is simply amazing.  When we decided to collab together, we had to choose what collab to do.  We both settled with doing a mani swap.  This is where she chooses one of my designs to recreate and I choose one of hers.  I've never been great at making decisions, but oh my, this was so tricky.  Her designs are all incredible, and I wanted to recreate all of them!!  I did however finally decide on the blue roses, and I am so so happy with them.  Sarah chose to recreate my purple daisies, which I actually did for my previous collab, so go and check that out.

Spring Daisies Collab

Hey,

As mentioned in my previous post, I teamed up with Henna on Instagram @h3nna.does.nails to create a spring nail collab.  We both decided that daisies would be good for spring, and why not do something different by using purple.  So that's what we did.  I created this design first, then was unhappy with it, so created the smaller daisies.  When Henna showed me her design I realised that this design actually looks much better, and less of a contrast.  Please go over to Instagram and show myself and Henna some love.  Her designs are so creative.
